I have written four books focused on Chicago history, but my experiences don't stop there. I'm a teacher, tour guide and certified wine expert. I lived in Rome for five years and have a passion for 'il bel paese'. I recently traveled the length of Route 66, an adventure detailed in my latest book, The Best Hits on Route 66. Oh, yes, my great, great grandparents met in Chicago the night of the Great Fire!
