About Alicia
I am a New York City girl whose love of travel was sparked by growing up in a multi-cultural neighborhood in the Bronx. Over the years, after graduating from Howard University, I traveled to places like Trinidad and Tobago, New Zealand, Australia, Paris, London, St Lucia, Honduras and Panama. After a career as a sports editor, I joined Lonely Planet in 2018 where my area of focus was Central America and the Caribbean. To me, travel is a privilege and should never be taken for granted.
