Each parking spot at this garage comes with fortune-cookie wisdom stenciled onto the asphalt: 'The time is right to make new friends' or 'Stop searching forever: happiness is just next to you.' These omens are supplied by artists Harrell Fletcher and Jon Rubin, who also gathered local residents' photographs of Chinese and Italian ancestors that now grace the parking-lot entry – fitting heraldic emblems for this cross-cultural neighborhood.
