Església de Sant Francesc

Looming over Sant Francesc's charming central square, with a stark whitewashed facade, the imposing village fortress-church dates from the early 18th century. It was the first church built when Formentera was resettled (after being abandoned in the 15th century), and cannons were mounted on its roof until 1860.
