Acuario Mazatlán

Mazatlán

One of Mexico’s largest aquariums has tanks with hundreds of species of freshwater, pelagic and reef fish, a display of skeletons, and birds and frogs in the garden. The eerie jellyfish tanks are particularly mesmerising. However, its sea-lion shows and much-hyped shark-riding experience are a big concern to animal welfare groups, who say that activity of this sort is harmful to the creatures and should be avoided.
