British-born but Mexican at heart, Leonora Carrington (1917–2011) was one of the last surrealist artists and a key player in the Mexican women's liberation movement. This museum showcases some of her most impressive works including beautiful tapestries and brain-bendingly bizarre paintings. Displays are well lit and labeled. Some of the creepy-looking sculptures and statues here could give you nightmares!
