Escape the city on a 400m-high mountain ridge, offering sweeping views across town to the bay. During the day (to 5pm) you can descend on foot through the landscaped herb gardens, which include some nicely placed benches and hammocks, to the midway station, from where you can return by ropeway or continue to the Nunobiki Falls and Shin-Kōbe Station.
