About Lucie
I grew up in Malta and the UK – spending a lot of my young life on flights between my two home countries. A devotion to travel unsurprisingly followed, exploring every corner of Europe in my twenties before making extended trips to Asia, Central America and South America throughout my thirties. In 2019 I made the call to leave my career in art galleries and museums and jump into freelance travel writing. I have lived nomadically in Croatia, India and Thailand since then, working for The Independent, The Times, Fodor's, The Daily Beast, USA Today and more. Living amongst nomads in India, I came to fully realize the extent of passport privilege and just how lucky I am to be able to call new countries home, learning as much as I can along the way.
