About James
Auckland, New Zealand is my home but, like many Kiwis, I've also done my time living in Sydney and London. I was a Lonely Planet fan and frequent guidebook user before I was taken on as an author in 2005. Since then, I've contributed to well over 100 titles. These days the main places I research and write about are New Zealand, Australia, Italy, Croatia and Montenegro.
