About James
In summer, you might bump into me exploring cute streets before a long, sumptuous meal on a sultry piazza. In winter, you’ll see me tackling ski slopes, taking a break just to gorge on filling mountain grub. Yes, food is important – I live in Italy, after all! I was raised in the east of England, but I’ve found myself in the northern Italian city of Monza by way of London, Huelva, Dublin and Milan. Having been an editor on Lonely Planet books since 2019, it’s a pleasure to write about some of my own experiences as well. Many of these now involve pushing or carrying my daughter around, which adds to both the challenge and the charm.
