Franklin Court

Philadelphia

This peaceful courtyard, which can be accessed from both Market and Chestnut St, is where Benjamin Franklin's home once stood. The house was demolished in 1812 but you can still get a good impression of its dimensions from the tubular steel 3D outline of the building created by architectural firm Venturi, Rauch, and Scott Brown in 1976.

Off the courtyard, enter the Benjamin Franklin Museum and the Franklin Court Printing Museum.
