Almost any establishment fronting a beach this stunning and secluded would be a top pick. But 'cottages' and suites here, hidden beneath hillside foliage and overlooking Hat Pansea, up the ante with earthy, luxurious interiors and a gorgeously abstract six-sided, black-tiled, sea-view pool. There's a Mediterranean-Thai restaurant (mains 320B to 1200B), plus a spa, beachfront yoga and beachfront bar.
It's quite an uphill hike along wooden boardwalks to many of the rooms. Staff are charming.
