Palacio de los Borja

Built in the late 15th century as a residence for the Borja family, this imposing palace has late-Gothic and Renaissance features and now serves as Valencia's parliament. During the Spanish Civil War it briefly housed the national government, which had fled here from Madrid, which was besieged by the Nationalist insurgency. Free guided tours run on Monday and Friday; these must be prebooked by phone.
