Bar El Far de Tossa

Perched up high on Mont Guardí, next to Tossa's lighthouse, this vertiginous terrace bar appeals with its exquisite panoramas of cacti-speckled cliffs plummeting towards the inky sea. Take the edge off with a cocktail (€8.75), though you're here for the best views in town rather than the mixology. There are also simple tapas, burgers and toasties (€4 to €12).
