Fábrica Ribeiro Sêco

The Fábrica Ribeiro Sêco has revived some of the sugar-processing traditions that once made Madeira wealthy. Buy the island's famous molasses, bolo de mel (molasses cake), sugar-cane biscuits and recipe books at the factory, located to the north of the city centre. Otherwise they are available in supermarkets across the island.
