Beerhouse

The conspicuous assemblage of tent-roofed structures overlooking the marina is Funchal's only microbrewery, pumping out a decent German-style lager to go with a typical Madeiran tourist menu. It's spoilt slightly by the burly banana-farmer waiters being trussed up in Bavarian garb, but the beer, cocktails and swish location make it worth a shot.
