If you’re looking for handicrafts, shop around this rabbit warren of stalls with textiles, batik, weavings, carvings and jewellery. You can also pick up a malong, a traditional Mindanao tribal cloth used as a skirt, turban, blanket or baby carrier; handwoven ones run P1500, while cheap machine-made ones from China cost P300. Take your time and bargain – almost every day is a slow day. The stallholders are also keen to change euro and US dollars.
