Spectacularly set inside the turreted, storybook castle Château de Bourglinster, parts of which date from the 11th century, Michelin-starred La Distillerie is a full-blown gastronomic extravaganza. Vegetables are the star of chef René Mathieu's intricate tasting menus (there's no à la carte); all-vegetarian menus are available at both lunch and dinner. Mathieu forages for wild herbs in the castle's grounds.
Part of the same set-up but in a separate wing, the more casual Brasserie Côté Cour (7pm to 9.30pm Wednesday, noon to 3pm and 7pm to 9.30pm Thursday to Sunday; mains €28, menus €35 to €65) is excellent value.
