Funnelling all of its profits into worthy social enterprises, this street-art-adorned hostel is the best in the city. Opened in 2018, it offers 200 beds, a communal kitchen, courtyard, lounge and laundry. Dorms max out at 10 beds (most have four) and have good mattresses and en-suite bathrooms; each bed has a locker, reading light, USB plug and power point.
The vibe here is communal rather than party-focussed, but meals, drinks and plenty of entertainment are available at the on-site Barrel pub, and there's also a busy entertainment programme, including movie nights and free walking tours. The breakfast buffet costs €7. Street-art aficionados will want to check out the murals by Victoriano Chapartegui, Alice Pasquini, Dima Fatum and other local and international street artists. The hostel prides itself on being both accessible and LGBTIQ-friendly.
