Tana Toraja
The Heritage styles itself as a four-star resort, offering accommodation in huge tongkonan-style houses and a more conventional hotel block (which is fine, but not as atmospheric). Gardens are lush, the lagoon-like pool is great and there's a separate kids pool. Overall, it's a solid choice, but the hotel is in dire need of a thorough renovation.
Free shuttles into town are a nice touch; it's a bit removed from the action.
