Cakra Homestay

Although the rooms are simple, this atmospheric old homestay, in a magnificent timbered building between Solo's two palaces, scores highly for those interested in Javanese culture. There's a gamelan room with occasional free performances and a lovely, palm-shaded pool. Shared bathrooms are Western- and mandi-style. Wi-fi access is in public areas only.
