O-zone the Village

Top choice in Port-au-Prince & Around

Unique in Haiti, this inspired mountain stay is encircled by pine trees and constructed with recycled materials – discarded wire-holders as walkways, old tires as art, reclaimed wood and bottles as walls. There’s a rugged feel to the place, and it features a rustic tree house guests enter via a hanging bridge. It's romantic, in a steampunk kind of way.

On windy nights there’s a lot of creaking up in the tree house, but on the bright side, that is sometimes drowned out by raucous events and late-night parties. A new kid-zone aimed at attracting families includes a trampoline and a playground, and there are also some fantastic dirt bike trails and hikes in the area.
