Serge Jolimeau

Top choice in Port-au-Prince & Around

Serge Jolimeau is the heir apparent to Croix-des-Bouquets' metalwork tradition. His eponymous open-air showroom features his originals (displayed inside a small house on the property), as well as less expensive versions of classic Haitian metalwork themes by his protégés. Prices range from about US$20 to hundreds of dollars for a custom piece.

To get there, take Blvd Jean-Jacques Dessalines (Rte 1) north from Port-au-Prince, and transfer to Rte 8 which leads to the border crossing at Malpasse. In Croix-des-Bouquets, turn right after the police station, just before the Église de Jésus-Christ des Saints des Derniers Jours. There is a sign for Croix-des-Bouquets artists' village; Serge's workshop is on the left, also indicated by a sign.
