Mud Dock epitomises the laid-back charm of Bristol's harbourside. In this long attic bikes, fairy lights and a massive metal swordfish hang from the girders. Summer sees drinkers packing the mellow waterside terrace, drinking in craft ales and cracking views.
It's set above a bike shop – head up the metal fire escape around the side to get in. The bar-food menu (mains £10 to £13) isn't massive but the quality is good.
