Hotel Mar Azul

Isla San Cristóbal (Chatham)

A surprisingly good choice, considering the Mar Azul looks like a 1970s-era school building. Your best bet is one of the rooms that opens onto a small, sunny courtyard with a hammock. All rooms are comfortable and modern with hot water and cable TV, although you should avoid the handful of rooms that open directly onto the street because noise can be an issue. Wi-fi access is available in theory, but the service is spotty.
