Bandholm Hotel

Top choice

Indulgently classy with fully modernised facilities, this excellent 40-room hotel is Lolland's top option. It's based around a proud 1886 whitewashed brick building, but also incorporates a courtyard annexe and two neighbouring historic cottages, and is brilliantly located across lawns from Bandholm's grain and fishing port.

Of the 15 standard (annexe) rooms, 111 to 115 are the best bet, with lovely little garden patios. Rooms in the main building (from 1800kr) come with chandeliers and free minibar. The restaurant is inventive, and shaded tables spill out onto the grounds with sea views.
