Mishembe Bay (Luke’s Beach)

Top choice in Zambia

With its stunning white sands, palm trees and thatched bungalows, Luke's Beach resembles some secluded Southeast Asian beach paradise. The stilted thatched bungalows are luxurious on the outside, yet remain bare bones within to suit the budget traveller, and feature magnificent views of the water. You'll need to bring along all your own food, but there's a kitchen where you can cook.

Staying here gives you the advantage of being a 1½-hour walk to Kalambo Falls. To get here the boat transfer is around ZMW500 return. The owner Luke is the son of the owners from Thorn Tree in Kasama.
