Chamilandu Bushcamp

Zambia

Built along the banks of the Luangwa River, Chamilandu Bushcamp's stilted thatch-and-reed chalets are utterly exposed to the elements; they have no fourth wall, only three sides of expert carpentry work. You'll never want to spend more time in a bathroom! Sunrise offers another revelation when the true brilliance of the camp's design comes to light. It's a two-hour drive south of Mfuwe.

A night-time arrival at Chamilandu is a magical experience – a lantern-lit dinner table is set out under the stars and staff in chef's whites are lined up to cook your Mongolian barbecue (just one of the dinner specials often served).
