Dolaucothi Arms

Top choice in Swansea, The Gower & Carmarthenshire

A lovely little local, this 16th-century drovers' inn has a friendly front bar complete with board games and an open fire, comfortably furnished side rooms for quieter tête-à-têtes, an in-house tearoom (Doli's) and three cosy bedrooms upstairs. The downstairs restaurant is pretty good, too, serving pub classics like burgers, gammon-and-egg and vegetarian chilli.
