Black Boy Inn

Dating from 1522, this is one of the oldest pubs in Wales and one of the most atmospheric – it's said to be haunted, and the bar is a true Welsh-speaking local. The 39 creaky but comfortable rooms have original wooden beams and panelling but a modern sensibility .
