Ever-stuffed and frugal-looking Madam Thu draws in the crowds for its superb menu and lovely, very polite and helpful staff. The mushroom-and-carrot fried spring rolls (50,000d) are crispy and divine, while the peanut-topped tofu with vermicelli noodles and peanut sauce is up there with the very best. For every meal served the restaurant donates 2000d to underprivileged children in and around Hue.
