Dilshoda

Samarkand

Set in the shadow of Gur-E-Amir, this B&B serves up basic yet cosy rooms with narrow beds and tiny bathrooms. However, there's a tantalising view from the 1st-floor balcony (Rooms 2,3 and 4), pleasant tea-beds in the courtyard and an espresso machine.

A second, more modern annexe called Dilshoda Prime, with kitschy decor and it's own private cupola, is just around the corner (rates are US$5 more) and caters more to groups.
