Hovli Poyon B&B

Top choice in Bukhara

Few Bukhara B&Bs are more memorable than this one, set in a 19th-century house dripping with both character and history. It was once home to the father of Emir Alim Khan, and both the grand aivan (portico) and huge vine-strewn courtyard are emir-worthy. The excellent-value rooms are surprisingly modern and piney – the rooms at the front of the house are the most authentic.
