This cluster of 266 cabins, each walled by concrete on three sides and lidded by a canvas roof, is crammed and noisy, but the setting along the Merced River has its merits. Each unit sleeps six and has electricity, light, a table and chairs, and a covered patio with picnic tables. Laundry (8am to 10pm) and shower facilities are open to guests and nonguests.
Bring your own sleeping bag, or linens can be rented; for the latter, be sure to have extra layers of clothes for chilly nights.
