Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort

Olympic National Park

While Sol Duc lacks the classic touches and style of the more luxurious and older park lodges, this well-known spa retreat packs a punch with its therapeutic waters and surrounding forest. It is self-contained – with cemented-in mineral pools, a small store and a restaurant – but there's still a tangible sense of being in a remote wilderness.

Thirty-two modern but basic cabins offer private bathrooms and, in some cases, a kitchenette. Aside from the steaming waters there's also a massage service. Day hikers and visitors are welcome at the restaurant or poolside deli. There are 17 RV sites but no tent sites.
