Swann House

Washington, DC

A dozen rooms sprinkled throughout an exquisite 1883 Romanesque mansion, all set off enough from Dupont Circle to be quiet, but close enough to be an easy walk from the action. The rooms are highly individualized: some are flowery and frilly while others are more subdued and contemporary. The backyard pool is unique for a B&B.

Staff serves the bountiful breakfast at tables in the chandeliered dining room or outside on the covered front porch. Afternoon sweets and evening sherry are also part of the package.
