Dabney Cellar

Washington, DC

Tucked in the basement underneath the acclaimed Dabney restaurant, the Cellar pours loads of wines by the glass, including many varietals by hard-to-find, small-batch producers. The cozy, firewood-stacked room is a neighborhood favorite to drop in to for a sip along with a plate of local oysters or buttermilk bacon biscuits.

Note the entrance is on 9th St (unlike the Dabney restaurant, which you enter via Blagden Alley), and it's underneath a set of stairs.
