Close to Yorktown's beach and eateries, this house was built by the current owner's grandfather in 1933 and retains its old-fashioned ambience. That's not to say that it's dated or dowdy, because nothing could be further from the truth – we love the elegant ground-floor lounge and the five large, light and elegantly furnished rooms (most accessed by stairs).
Breakfast is served in a grand dining room and there's a kitchen for coffee- and tea-making. It's best to stay here mid-week, as weddings are often held here on weekends in April, May, September, and October.
