Solís' new auto-inspired boutique hotel is next door to Porche's North American headquarters overlooking the 1.6-mile track at the Porsche Experience Center and the runways at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Common areas are chock-full of vintage Porsche imagery while the 214 rooms feature laser-etched headboards and tailpipe-evoking bedside lamps.
Cool stuff, no doubt, but it's really all about the rooftop Overdrive Lounge, which offers some of the finest transport porn you'll ever see, with views of planes to the right, trains to the left and automobiles in the middle. The 300-sq-ft, 8000-gallon Jacuzzi-like plunge pool isn't bad either and the airport shuttle – with leather seats and USB ports – is one of the classiest you ever did see.
