Marfa’s ‘glampground’ has to be one of the funkiest choices in all Texas; you can sleep in a stylishly converted travel trailer, tipi, safari tent or even a yurt. It’s not for everyone: the grounds are dry and dusty, you might have to shower outdoors, and there’s no air-conditioning (luckily, it’s cool at night).
The cool and colorful community lounge and the hammock grove make particularly pleasant common areas, and the eclectic gift store is a recommended Marfa shopping spot. Our tip? Bring a flashlight. Pet fee is $10 per night.
