Corsair Distillery & Headquarters

Nashville

The post-tour samples at Corsair Distillery are generous – and sometimes 90 proof. This small-batch distiller of gin, rum, whiskey and even absinthe takes its craft seriously, but also has fun experimenting. Quinoa whiskey anyone? The Triple Smoke whiskey, which won Artisan Whiskey of the Year in 2013, is especially nice. Book tour slots in advance on the website.

The Corsair label gives a nod to the movie Reservoir Dogs and a few drunk Scots once encountered by the owner. Corsair's second location, dubbed the Marathon Village Brewstillery, at 1200 Clinton St brews craft beer. Tours of the Brewstillery are also available.
