A towering smokestack rises like an altar in a corner of this steampunk speakeasy. Tucked off an alley in Edgehill Village, the space was a laundromat boiler room in the 1930s. Today the exposed brick, industrial piping, lofty ceiling and curved staircase are the backdrop for the city's most stunning cocktail bar – if you can find it!
Look for door No 103, marked by a painted golden triangle. Cocktails cost $13 or $14.
