Butchertown Hall

Nashville

This hipster hangout, the first beer hall in Germantown since 1909, plays to the neighborhood's historical roots. The 2200-sq-ft space is gorgeous: vaulted ceilings, oversized subway tiles, and stacked stone and chopped wood strategically used as earthy accented space dividers. There are 25 or so taps specializing in local beer, rarer German options and cask-conditioned English ales.

Go for a drink (beer $5-14) – the food gets very mixed reviews. Catch happy hour Sunday through Thursday from 2pm to 6pm.
