Big Bungalow

East Nashville

Chatty proprietress Ellen Warshaw welcomes visitors into her East Nashville bungalow, where the three casually decorated guest rooms feel more like your arty aunt's home than a fussy bed and breakfast. A massage therapist by trade, Ellen will be happy to loosen up your shoulders in her home massage room.

Introverts may quail, but social butterflies will love the friendly breakfasts at the Big Bungalow, where guests are encouraged to strum guitars and shoot the breeze over French toast and frittatas. Evenings sometimes bring impromptu concerts, or cocktails on the back porch. See a piece of art you like on the walls? Buy it – the Big Bungalow is also a gallery. But hands off the international doll collection in the living room, which once belonged to Ellen's globe-trotting parents.
