OK, so muscadine wine isn't usually at the top of an oenophile's list. It is, however, a fine product of South Carolina, and at this here winery (the only one in the Charleston area, mind you), a few of them aren't that terrible. The owners bring in some grapes from California to make interesting blends with their own. Tastings are $7.
So although most of the wines still have that syrupy muscadine flavor, some kinda don't.
