One of Seattle's most celebrated restaurants, Canlis is old-school posh and one of the few places in the city where people regularly get dressed up for dinner (as per the restaurant's dress code). The menu is Pacific Northwest traditional (halibut, pork, fresh veg) and the decor's like something out of a 1950s-era Hitchcock movie – all angled glass and sweeping views.
Prices are hefty, ties and jackets required and reservations are pretty much essential. A special-occasion dinner.
