Occupying the intersection once inhabited by old-school CD institution Catfish Corner, Fat’s is considered by most to be a credible replacement. Wisely, it’s chosen to continue the long-standing CD tradition for Southern food in an area that has otherwise lost a lot of its old-school grit (and grits).
Menu highlights include the obvious chicken and waffles, along with Louisiana favorites shrimp and grits and red beans and rice.
