La Carta de Oaxaca is easily one of Seattle's best lunch and brunch spots. Those who crave authentic Oaxacan-style cooking will swoon at the birria (braised leg of lamb) or the house special mole negro Oaxaqueño (chicken or pork in a chocolate and chili sauce). Whatever you order, expect serious flavors.
This place is always crowded, especially on Saturdays, so expect a wait or try to slip into one of the spots at the bar, from where you can also see the master chefs in action.
