Lodge at the Presidio

The Marina, Fisherman’s Wharf & the Piers

During the Spanish-American war, officers living within these former barracks did not sleep on the custom-made pillow-top mattresses that today's guests enjoy. But this modern, 42-room redbrick stay does preserve the military past via the original art and historic photographs. Aim for a room with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay.

Be sure to pass some time in a teak rocker on the patio. Guests can use the Presidio YMCA at no charge, meaning a gym with yoga and fitness classes is a short walk away.
