'No food, no photos, no playing in the boas,' says the sign inside the door – but that last rule is gleefully ignored by drag stars, pageant dropouts, strippers and people who take Halloween dead seriously (read: all SF). Since 1972 Piedmont's signature getups have been designed and sewn in the city, so they're not cheap – but those airplane earrings are priceless.
